Evie traveled to Utah on April 26th to sing for the wedding reception of Elder Gressman, a missionary who served near her home last year. For the event, she worked with the mega talented director of the One Voice Children’s Choir, Masa Fukuda and top Utah cellist, Garrett Rosza.
They covered a beautiful song by Ruelle called “I Get to Love You” that was requested by the bride. They also covered “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and some ‘on the spot’ requests. This is live, raw video footage filmed by A.J. Moss. Evie feels so grateful to be able to collaborate with such incredible musicians.
Evie Clair loves visiting Utah because she has lots of beloved aunts, uncles and cousins there. On this trip she also got to spend some time with her best friend, Clancy Thomas and his mom, who came to see her perform. She was happy to get to see them since Clancy only has a few months until he leaves on his mission. Evie belongs to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where young people as young as 18 serve and teach away from home for up to 2 years. Just like Elder Gressman who served his mission in Evie’s town of Florence, Arizona, her friend Clancy will leave home in August to serve the people in Vina Del Mar, Chile.
Clancy has even helped Evie with lyrics for songs on her upcoming “Okay Day” Album that will be released June!
After the America’s Got Talent finale, Evie Clair has been traveling the country performing and sharing her story in person. Today she returns as a YouTuber in collaboration with non profits, composers and other talented musicians to join in the movement to #LightTheWorld with service, love and the peace of the Christmas season. Learn more about #LightTheWorld
Evie released two videos on her YouTube channel today which are the first performances she has been able to release since before her first appearance on NBC’s most watched show, America’s Got Talent.
For Here in My Arms, she collaborated with young vocalist, Rosevelt Rawls and with Cinematic Pop composer Rob Gardner who in his spare time writes sacred oratorios such as Lamb of God, orchestrated by the world famous London Symphony Orchestra. Here in My Arms has emphasis on the divine calling of motherhood and the special ways Mary, the mother of Christ, was able to give Jesus the gift of lifelong service as His mother.
For Light the World, composer Sara Baril and her son Benson caught Evie’s attention with an original song they released that captures the heart of the #LightTheWorld in 25 ways over 25 days initiative to teach, serve and love as Jesus Christ. Sara and Benson traveled from their home in Canada to record and film Light the World and bring message to life in collaboration with Step UP Schools, Mormon.org and the Salvation Army, they put their words to action as they participated in service projects including preparing food boxes and hygiene kits for families in need and reading to and playing with the students.
I found myself dreaming
In silver and gold
Like a scene from a movie
That every broken heart knows we were walking on moonlight
And you pulled me close
Split second and you disappeared and then I was all alone
I woke up in tears
With you by my side
A breath of relief
And I realized
No, we’re not promised tomorrow
So I’m gonna love you
Like I’m gonna lose you
I’m gonna hold you
Like I’m saying goodbye wherever we’re standing
I won’t take you for granted ’cause we’ll never know when
When we’ll run out of time so I’m gonna love you
Like I’m gonna lose you
I’m gonna love you like I’m gonna lose you
[John Legend:]
In the blink of an eye
Just a whisper of smoke
You could lose everything
The truth is you never know
So I’ll kiss you longer baby
Any chance that I get
I’ll make the most of the minutes and love with no regrets
Let’s take our time
To say what we want
Use what we got
Before it’s all gone
‘Cause no, we’re not promised tomorrow
[Both:]
So I’m gonna love you
Like I’m gonna lose you
I’m gonna hold you
Like I’m saying goodbye wherever we’re standing
I won’t take you for granted ’cause we’ll never know when
When we’ll run out of time so I’m gonna love you
Like I’m gonna lose you
I’m gonna love you like I’m gonna lose you
Hey
Whoa
I’m gonna love you
Like I’m gonna lose you
I’m gonna hold you
Like I’m saying goodbye wherever we’re standing
I won’t take you for granted ’cause we’ll never know when
When we’ll run out of time so I’m gonna love you
Like I’m gonna lose you
I’m gonna love you like I’m gonna lose you

In this special video Evie Clair and Spencer Jones collaborate with celebrities and YouTubers to create a benefit video for Evie’s dad, Amos, who found out in April 2016 that he has stage 4 colon cancer. Amos is an LDS Bishop in Arizona and a psychological professional counselor at a prison. His first operation was unsuccessful and left him with a colostomy. He has continued as bishop and has been given strength from family and friends and blessings from above to do so. Amos was also able to return back to work a month after surgery. He has made major diet changes and undergone intense chemo therapy for the past few months and is gearing up for another surgery. The cost of medical care and missed work and travel out of town for chemo every other week is becoming more then their family can bare. You can donate and keep up with Team Amos on a daily blog his wife keeps up at http://www.teamamos.com

“Eye Of The Tiger” was originally performed for the movie Rocky by the band Survivor.
Rising up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I’m back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive
So many times it happens too fast
You trade your passion for glory
Don’t lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
It’s the eye of the tiger
It’s the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he’s watching us all with the eye of the tiger
Face to face, out in the heat
Hanging tough, staying hungry
They stack the odds still we take to the street
For the kill with the skill to survive
Rising up, straight to the top
Had the guts, got the glory
Went the distance, now I’m not gonna stop
Just a man and his will to survive
It’s the eye of the tiger
It’s the thrill of the fight
Rising up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor
Stalks his prey in the night
And he’s watching us all with the eye of the tiger
Eye of the tiger
Eye of the tiger
Eye of the tiger
Jake’s song is an original by Amanda Johnstone and Evie Clair. It was written as a love song for Jake Johnstone from his wife Amanda. Jake is a cousin of Evie’s dad and Evie helped Amanda put together this song about unconditional love as a surprise to celebrate their upcoming temple sealing. Jake’s Song was performed by Evie Clair on vocals and piano and Stephen Moyer at Vistalight productions on guitar. Stephen also recorded and mastered the audio. This is Evie’s 3rd original pop song, but this one has more of a country flare.
Vocals – Evie Clair and Josh Mortensen
Piano – Evie Clair
Audio – Stephen Moyer
Video – Hillary Abplanalp
Lyrics
“The Call”
It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
‘Til it was a battle cry
I’ll come back when you call me
No need to say goodbye
Just because everything’s changing
Doesn’t mean it’s never been this way before
All you can do is try to know who your friends are
As you head off to the war
Pick a star on the dark horizon and follow the light
You’ll come back when it’s over
No need to say goodbye
You’ll come back when it’s over
No need to say goodbye
Now we’re back to the beginning
It’s just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can’t feel it too
Doesn’t mean that you have to forget
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
‘Til they’re before your eyes
You’ll come back when they call you
No need to say goodbye
You’ll come back when they call you
No need to say goodbye

“At The Beginning”
Richard Marx (feat. Donna Lewis)
We were strangers, starting out on a journey
Never dreaming, what we’d have to go through
Now here we are, I’m suddenly standing
At the beginning with you
No one told me I was going to find you
Unexpected, what you did to my heart
When I lost hope, you were there to remind me
This is the start
[Chorus:]
And life is a road that I wanna keep going
Love is a river, I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road, now and forever, wonderful journey
I’ll be there when the world stops turning
I’ll be there when the storm is through
In the end I wanna be standing
At the beginning with you
We were strangers, on a crazy adventure
Never dreaming, how our dreams would come true
Now here we stand, unafraid of the future
At the beginning with you
[Chorus]
Knew there was somebody, somewhere
A new love in the dark
Now I know my dream will live on
I’ve been waiting so long
Nothing’s gonna tear us apart
[Chorus]
In the end I want to be standing
At the beginning with you…

I’m only one call away
I’ll be there to save the day
Superman got nothing on me
I’m only one call away
Call me, baby, if you need a friend
I just wanna give you love
Come on, come on, come on
Reaching out to you, so take a chance
No matter where you go
You know you’re not alone
I’m only one call away
I’ll be there to save the day
Superman got nothing on me
I’m only one call away
Come along with me and don’t be scared
I just wanna set you free
Come on, come on, come on
You and me can make it anywhere
For now, we can stay here for a while, ay
‘Cause you know, I just wanna see you smile
No matter where you go
You know you’re not alone
I’m only one call away
I’ll be there to save the day
Superman got nothing on me
I’m only one call away
