Hunger Games Parodies

Evie Clair’s parents met at BYU and their family loves to watch a BYU sketch comedy group called Studio C. These Hunger Games parodies for the Hunger Games movie (specifically part 1 of finale: Mockingjay) were created by Studio C and covered by Evie Clair with her siblings. It’s amazing because there is no sheet music available for these parodies. Evie is able to hear them and recreate the music by ear using her understanding of chord progressions, beats and harmonies. They have such a good time with these and we hope you love them. Thanks to Studio C for amazing creativity and good family fun.

The Peanut Butter to My Jelly

This is Evie Clair’s (Age 11) second original pop single. This acoustic version with just her voice and piano is a raw and humble show of her love and gratitude for the friends she recently left behind as she moved to a new city. She will always remember singing with you and having such close friends. She will love you forever.

Take On Me – A-Ha

Evie Clair arranged and performed her version of this 1986 classic hit, Take On Me by the band A-Ha. Her aim for this project was to share a message of kindness. The video tells the story of a new boy in school who isn’t treated well by some of his classmates. Evie helps him feel included then forgives those who are unkind and helps them feel included as well.

Baroque Ball Performance

Evie has been invited to sing “God Bless America” at the 2015 Baroque Ball for the Jolee-Jaffa Music Foundation on March 21st in Northeast Mesa, Arizona.

“Our inspiration for our gala event is drawn from the Italian Baroque period which produced the world’s greatest musicians. It was an era known for its brilliance, opulence and passion which we hope to capture in this event,” says Executive Director, Joanne Jolee.

Proceeds from the event will be used to provide music lessons and instruments to the underprivileged, and promote the health benefits of daily music making for all ages.

The event will take place at The Trailhead at Las Sendas Mountain, an architectural masterpiece providing a very exclusive location with spectacular views of metropolitan Phoenix city lights, the McDowell and Usery Mountains, and the awe inspiring Red Mountain.

President, Bill Jaffa adds, “We are bringing a spectacular high quality event at minimal cost to raise funds for a great charity that will showcase the foundation in the magnificent Las Sendas setting.”

Arizona’s Rockin’ with Talent

Arizona’s Rockin’ with Talent competition this past weekend was a big success. Evie Clair won the hearts of the audience. Congratulations to Evelyn for 1st place in her category for this stunning performance of Carrie Underwood’s Temporary Home. A special thanks to Vistalight Productions for filming the event.

Anthem

Evie Clair was invited to sing the National Anthem at the Arizona Diamondbacks Game this summer. She was so excited to see so many people come to support her first anthem experience. The Dbacks posted an Instagram of Evie on the big screen with the players honoring our country’s anthem.

Annie at Hale

Evie Clair played Molly in Hale Theatre Arizona’s production of Annie at age 8. She learned to tap dance from Cambrian James just for the show and gained so much stage presence and experience from all involved. Hale Theatre has an outstanding name for excellence in stage productions and Evie was grateful to be a part of it.
