Evie Clair’s Spring release, “Talking (Sunday Scaries Remix),” gives a fresh sound to her collaboration with Benson Price Jones. Sunday Scaries, the independent EDM duo specializes in electronic music with quality lyrics. After several original songs, the duo entered the remix arena with their adaptation of “Talking.”
The original mix began to take shape in early 2021 when Jones approached Evie with an idea for a duet. Each artist wrote a verse independently, combining their efforts for the refrain. The result is an authentic love song and a visually stunning video production. While far from being her first music video, Evie regards “Talking” as one of her best.
Almost exactly a year later, Sunday Scaries produced their EDM version of the song.
The new title’s cinematic, ethereal sound contrasts Evie’s plans for a gospel album later this year. Upcoming titles include the recently released “Nearer, My God, to Thee/ Where Can I Turn for Peace,” “I Know That My Redeemer Lives,” and “The Lord is My Shepherd.” The new album will be available on all major platforms by the end of 2022.
On January 23, 2022 Evie tweeted, “I’m thinking about a new cover. Do we talk about Bruno?” One of her fans responded with “Who is Bruno?” If you know, you know, I guess. But no one really knows. A song from Disney’s animated movie, “Encanto,” went mega viral breaking records of “Let it Go” from “Frozen.” It’s an absolutely incredibly well-written song by “Hamilton’s” Lin-Manuel Miranda so it’s no surprise. It’s the first Disney animation song in history to spend multiple weeks at #1.
Evie took on the challenge a little late in the game because she has been performing again while balancing her studies at the university and time with her new husband. She had a blast with the complexities of her first multi-voice cover and her husband says it’s one of the best videos she’s ever put out. She hopes you love it.
Evie Clair has a surefire method to treat anxiety and depression, courtesy of her late father. This simple solution completely changed Evie’s life. All it takes is a little bit of gratitude. This simple exercise in gratitude is a surefire cure for any heartache. This Thanksgiving, Evie is sharing her father’s advice that makes all the difference.
Incorporating gratitude into daily life doesn’t just help us manage our emotions—it fosters a sense of connection and hope. Pairing this mindset with other wellness practices like mindfulness, deep breathing, or even natural supplements can amplify its effects.
When life feels overwhelming, grounding ourselves with gratitude and reaching out for the right tools can provide much-needed stability. The Kratom Connection offers support to those navigating anxiety by providing access to high-quality, natural products that may aid in calming the mind and body. Together, gratitude and holistic practices can form a powerful combination for healing, reminding us that even in the hardest moments, there’s always something to be thankful for.
Individuals seeking additional support in their journey, exploring alternative methods like psilocybe cubensis has gained attention in recent years. Many have reported benefits in managing anxiety, and the use of these mushrooms is sometimes seen as a way to address mental health from a different angle.
If you’re curious about this approach, reputable sources like https://thesporedepot.com/ can offer guidance and quality products. However, it’s important to remember that everyone’s journey with anxiety and depression is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another. Combining these strategies with a mindset of gratitude can create a holistic approach to healing.
As more people explore these alternative treatments, it’s important to recognize that the healing journey is unique for each person, and what works for one individual may not be the right fit for another. For those who are open to exploring different paths to mental wellness, Elevated You offers a platform dedicated to alternative medicine, including magic mushrooms and other psychedelics, as potential treatments for mental illness.
With growing evidence supporting the therapeutic benefits of psychedelics, Elevated You provides a trusted space for individuals to explore these options in a safe and informed manner. Their platform, found at https://elevatedyou.cc/, offers access to high-quality products, expert guidance, and a supportive community that helps users understand and navigate their journeys with alternative treatments.
Just like the exploration of psilocybe cubensis, psychedelics present an opportunity to approach mental health from a different perspective, and with the right resources, they can offer valuable tools for healing and self-discovery. As with any form of treatment, it’s crucial to approach these options mindfully, ensuring that they align with personal needs and goals while fostering a balanced, holistic approach to mental well-being.
Evie Clair Overcoming Heartbreak
Amos Abplanalp, Evie Clair’s father, practiced psychology until 2017 when his cancer made him unable to work. He passed away later that same year. Evie was in the final rounds of America’s Got Talent when her father died. She told her mother that she wouldn’t return to the competition. At fourteen years old, the combination of a childhood tragedy and a national competition was far too much for the young singer. Anxiety overcame her, and heartache made it impossible to continue the show. However, Amos’ funeral life sketch included the following phrase, which he often repeated: “I didn’t raise quitters for kids.” Evie knew she had to go back to AGT.
Even so, such a brave decision would require a miracle, and her dad had just the treatment. With firm faith, Evie looked back on a lesson her father always taught. Whenever one of his children was suffering from anxiety or feeling down, he would prescribe the following cure: count your blessings. Amos sat with his children as they wrote a list of things for which they were thankful. Within minutes they were calm, content, and ready to face their problems. Evie applied this treatment. Even fatherless, with no indication of what her life would be like, she sat and counted her blessings. She went back to AGT and delivered an unforgettable final performance.
Recently, Evie gave the following statement about this fatherly counsel:
“Always had an extra hard time with my anxiety. When my anxiety would be triggered, it would always help me to forget about myself and focus on what I have. That’s always helped me to combat my feelings of low self-worth. Bad things don’t seem as bad when you remember all of the good things you have.”
The Power of Gratitude
On one occasion, Amos prescribed this exercise to one of his patients. The man was serving time in prison and felt that he had nothing left. At first, his depression worsened as he reminded himself of all that he lost. He listed things like family, love, respect, his job and possessions, health and power. Amos and his patient read through the list. They paused for a while after the inmate read the word, “health.” Amos had only weeks left to live. Evie’s father reminded his patient that there are some things that can never be taken away. The man began to heal after composing the following list:
ability to be a good family member
ability to love
self-respect
ability to work hard
healthy habits
power of self-control
That day, this inmate learned a lesson that Evie Clair had been taught her entire life. He learned that gratitude has nothing to do with what you have. Gratitude is about who you choose to be. A grateful heart is an unconquerable heart. This holiday season, give thanks.
As of October 24th, Evie Clair is engaged to her long-time best friend and sweetheart Clancy Thomas. Evie and Clancy first met several years ago when Evie performed during a high school basketball game at her father’s alma mater. Clancy Thomas, the captain of the team, was thrilled to have her sign his basketball. Although there wasn’t an immediate connection, their relationship developed over the course of a four-year, long-distance friendship. Fans may recognize his name as a lyrics contributor on her first album, Okay Day. As Evie and Clancy grew closer, in the Fall of 2021 they decided to attend the same university together in Rexburg, Idaho. Now, they are officially engaged, and the couple is planning a wedding shortly after her 18th birthday in early December.
For many of her fans, this has seemed to have materialized almost out of thin air. Many still see her as the thirteen year old girl who tearfully took the stage for her dying dad on Season Twelve of America’s Got Talent. After the show, Evie had multiple tours and headlined in a show for several months with rigorous show schedules while living in a casino. All this as a ninth grader, performing and keeping up with classwork while also working through the loss of her father, compromised her completion of all of her ninth grade courses.
During the next year, as a tenth grader Evie was able to complete all of her ninth grade classes while taking her tenth grade classes. Based on her success with this, her school counselors were confident when she said she could take on double classes — eleventh and twelfth grade — to graduate a year early. She used the down time during the pandemic to complete eleventh grade courses online while attending twelfth grade classes, and graduated as a senior at age seventeen this past spring. With the same drive, which Evie puts into everything she does, she pursued and was granted admission to BYUI this fall, where she and Clancy, who had been away serving a foreign mission, began attending classes.
Her engagement and wedding plans have brought concern to many who know the difficulties which come with a marriage commitment. In a world where divorce is ever more common, many distrust the institution of marriage, while others consider it secondary in importance to graduating college, starting a career, etc. And while many argue that a seventeen-year-old lacks the maturity to make such a permanent decision, they may not realize that Evie is considerably more mature than most seventeen-year-olds. Evie is considerably more mature in many ways than some adults, having already had a fully-professional career for the past several years, while dealing with the painful loss of her father, working through deep theological questions regarding his death and her faith, completing her high school education in three years instead of four, being an active member of her church, supporting multiple charity fund raising events, giving testimonial interviews that encourage others in the faith, and producing multiple original songs and albums as well as frequent covers on her social media channels.
This is the experience of someone in their thirties – not your typical seventeen-year-old, which, of course, Evie is not. Evie Clair has identified with thirty-year-olds ever since the age of three. She has wisdom beyond her years that has been amplified by her experiences as a professional artist. Given her deep faith, trust and reliance on her Heavenly Father, she has frequently demonstrated restraint and discernment when approached by entertainment professionals with offers to sign contracts, in order to avoid those who would steer her down a wrong path. To this day, Evie has not signed with a label, or entered into a long-term contract, as she has always had a sense of knowing when something is off.
It is with that same faith, trust and reliance on her Heavenly Father, plus the heart of her earthly father in Heaven living in her, that she knowingly has made this commitment. Perhaps her father is directing her path from heaven. He must be happy knowing she found Clancy Thomas in his own high school gym.
Even for your favorite artists, life never stops moving. In the case of Evie Clair, life is just starting to pick up speed! As her childhood stardom comes to an end, her career as an adult is just beginning. That’s right, Evie’s off to college! Evie heads to Brigham Young University – Idaho next week, and she’s inviting her fans to come along for the journey.
Although she is leaving home, Evie’s family of fans can join her at college through her Facebook supporters group. Facebook supporters receive access to exclusive content and frequent check-ins from Evie as she begins this exciting phase of her life. Her first exclusive live event will be on Sep. 10th, as she settles into a new home, and a new piano.
Fans who follow her college experience will see a whole new side of Evie Clair. Aside from music, Evie has a passion for innovation. Surprisingly to some, she will be majoring in computer science! Evie hopes to one day make online genealogy programs more user friendly. In addition to her music, Facebook supporters will get to know the real Evie Clair.
However big the world may be, Evie always finds time for her fans wherever they are. Because of her kind influence, many have wanted to support her on her journey through this life. Now, with a her Facebook group, fans turn into friends. Be sure to sign up before Sep. 10th to catch her move-in live!
This week, Evie joined Olympian Mykayla Skinner, Apostle Ulisses Soares, and influencer/entrepreneur Bella Weems Lambert in a press conference for the new Mesa Temple Visitors’ Center. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints builds these centers to uplift, and unite communities. The event made a great impact on everyone there. Evie loved the experience, saying, “No matter who comes here, there will be something for them to love.” Sadly, it’s rare to feel so at home in today’s world. Places like this provide a chance for much needed connection.
Connect with your roots
“We spent time with young adults in Mesa to learn how to create a space that works for them,” said director Tanner Kay. Although the focus of the Center is the Temple, it’s purpose is to unite people. Visitors are immersed in the rich history of Mesa, and it’s Temple. Upon entry, cards are available with the names of individual pioneers, natives, and immigrants. As you explore the Center, interactive stations unfold the story of that individual. The rich, mixed culture of Arizona comes alive as visitors connect to their common heritage. Furthermore, the Center houses dozens of computers and trained volunteers to help people learn about their own genealogy.
Connect with yourself
Along with connecting people to their past, the Visitors’ Center helps people connect with their present. Evie’s favorite display is a large wall with the title, “I can be a LIGHT”. Dozens of phrases cover the wall, each one illuminating when touched. They suggest simple acts of service, such as “Love yourself,” “Bake for a neighbor,” or “Be a Peacemaker.” The Center also features several “meditation pods”, where people can relax and ponder.
Connect with God
Above all, this center is to bring people closer to God. As the name of the Church suggests, it is based in Christianity. However, anyone will find their relationship with their God strengthened by this experience. The Spirit is palpable in every room. The information presented is clear, and inspiring. The sense of love and acceptance can’t be faked. Because of that feeling, Evie recommends that everyone makes a visit to the Mesa Temple Visitors’ Center. You won’t regret it.
The last 2 years made a lasting impact on our way of life. This is no different for young singer-songwriter, Evie Clair. In a recent interview she opened up about her experiences as a performer during the pandemic. She shares her interesting perspective on getting back to “normal.” Find out how you can see AGT finalist Evie Clair perform LIVE this year.
Pandemic Performances
Evie recounted that the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic brought a drastic shift from live shows, to “virtual concerts.” Despite her recent participation in several online events, she found it difficult to recall details about any of them. She revealed that although these events ran smoothly, they didn’t provide the connection with her audience that makes concerts memorable. Evie explained, “Even though there were people watching me, it just felt like singing at my own house.”
Return to the Stage
Things are getting back to “normal” for Evie Clair. However, the end of her isolation is proving difficult as she relearns how to live “normally.” Evie shared, “It’s a little nerve racking going so long without performing and jumping back in like nothing ever happened. It makes a huge difference when there are people in front of me.”
Despite the anxiety, Evie feels that this experience will make a positive impact in her life. “Through the pandemic, I’ve had a lot more time to reflect on the last few years”… “I don’t have to end my story with ‘my dad died and I am sad now.” Her return to the stage revealed a new Evie Clair. Fans have noted that her recent concerts give a deeper look into her heart, rather than just the music. Evie shared, “There is a lesson to be learned and to be shared rather than just relating to people who have gone through the same things.” She noticed that because of the pandemic, the music fits the message, not the other way around. “Don’t come to my concert just to be entertained,” Evie says. She hopes that every fan will go home uplifted.
Things to Come
Don’t miss your chance to see Evie’s new “normal.” Her upcoming shows include appearances in Boca Raton, FL, Arizona State University, and Danville, CA. She will also be performing September 4th at 11am in Wisconsin Dells, WI at The Keg and Patio, at Higley Center for the Performing Arts benefitting Manes and Miracles, and in a Community Concert in Sierra Vista, AZ in November. Many of these events will be FREE, so don’t miss out on your chance to see Evie Clair LIVE!
Pain. If there is a faster path to heaven, let me know when you find it. For now, I suppose that we’re on it together.
Four years ago I found myself on America’s Got Talent, my dad was dying of cancer, and I felt like giving up on a lot more than just the show. The pain was the only thing that outweighed the fear. It hurt so badly to watch him fight so hard, just to see him lose a little more each day. It was enough to make even the biggest stage in the world feel meaningless. I can’t congratulate you enough for having pushed so far.
I think we both know that all of this is so much more than a talent show. The music is so much more than the hits. The pain is so much more than a story. There’s a grand purpose to so much pain, and my dad knew it. He always told me, “men are that they might have joy.” In other words, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.”
So, we sing on TV. We sing to ourselves. We sing to God, and know that He hears through the off-notes, and the sloppy prose. I couldn’t help but smile at “It’s OK”. It brought me face to face with my 13 year old self, writing “Okay Day”. Although I hadn’t had an okay day in a long time, I knew that if I sang it anyways it might just come true. My dad taught me that. He was right.
I hope that this letter finds you well. I hope that everyone can find as much strength in your story as I do. You’re never alone.
Evie had the opportunity to sit down with Jason Wright and the Wright Where You Are Podcast. Jason is a New York Times Best Selling Author and has a book that is on of her favorites called Christmas Jars. She was a little star struck when Jason contacted her after her family had just watched Christmas Jars movie, created from his book. He and Evie connected so well on so many levels.

Wright Where You Are
Episode 6 — Evie Clair — The AGT Finalist Who Sang for Her Dad and Inspired the World
Evie Clair is a follower of Jesus Christ. Being a part of this project was special to her because she was able to bask in the spirit of the Savior’s love and tenderness of these children who have such a bright faith and understanding of Him. She was able to sing a beautiful recreation of one of her favorite primary melodies by Newell Dayley arranged by her friend Shaun Barrowes – former American Idol contestant and film score composer. She also had the chance once again to work with the brilliant film director Dan LaPray. It was a thrilling experience for Evie to record at LDS Motion Picture Studios and film in Goshen at the Jerusalem replica where season 2 of her favorite TV Series – The Chosen was filmed.
Vocalist Evie Clair sings the well-known Primary song “I Feel My Savior’s Love,” while Primary-age children from around the world individually share how each feels the Savior’s love. The children share their love of the Savior and note how He sacrificed Himself, how He comforts them, how He loves everyone despite who they are. One calls Jesus Christ her friend. The music inspires introspection, prompting thoughts of how “His love is freely given.”
