    Chosen Son

A stunning Mother’s Day original release by Evie Clair and Christina Stutzman shares the perspective of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and her feelings in being the imperfect mother of the divine Chosen Son.

Evie and Christina were both just 13 years old finding themselves on America’s Got Talent – one of the biggest stages in the world, sharing their talents and showing strength as they experienced the loss of loved ones. Christina was with her older sister, Ali, as a singing duo and Evie was a singer/songwriter. Evie was on season 12 with Preacher Lawson and Darci Lynne while Christina was on season 5 with Prince Poppycock and Jackie Evancho.

Christina and Ali and Evie met when they performed together at a tribute concert remembering Evie Clair’s father. Christina and Ali lived close to where Evie’s dad was raised in Idaho. They all realized they had very similar life experiences. They became instant friends. Listen to Christina and Evie’s Mother’s Day radio interview with Jay Hildebrandt.

  • That They Might Have Joy

    That They Might Have Joy

Evie Clair would like to share an intimate new album of sacred hymns, close to her heart, with simple original arrangements of beloved, classic Christian hymns and sacred songs that bring her joy. Her husband, Clancy says,

“You couldn’t get an album that more closely resembles the experience of Evelyn sitting at the piano in her living room singing to you personally.”

Evie Clair, now Evelyn Thomas and her husband, recently posted about the coming birth of their first baby. The gentleness of these 15 songs makes them feel like lullabies in honor of that announcement. They come directly from her heart and speak to the listener’s soul about the love she has for God and her relationship with Him. Other album themes include kindness, gratitude, the Savior, peace and families.

The album title “That They Might Have Joy” comes from a beloved scripture passage, “Adam fell that men might be; and men are, that they might have joy” (2 Nephi 2:25) embracing the idea that we exist to find true and lasting Joy no matter our circumstance. It was a belief her father held even through the difficulties of a painful death from cancer. She added a remastered version she sang the year he passed away of his favorite hymn “Be Still My Soul” ending with the lyrics, “through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.” He taught her to hold to the things that wouldn’t fade with passing trends, but to fill her life with things that bring eternal joy.

Evelyn wanted to share these sacred lyrics and melodies of Jesus with others as a testimony of the joy she has found so that they, also, might have joy and internalize the true source of it.

Special thanks from Evie to a few beloved people who contributed to this album including Kirra Abplanalp, Charles Mann, Bailey Jolley, Phoebe Morris, Christy Mann, Michael McLean and Pamalee Mann.

  • Crossroads

    Crossroads

Crossroads by Evie Clair is the last song on the upcoming Results Take Time album (EP). It’s a crossover song that takes her music from pop/alternative to spiritual. It takes us to the end of a musical storyline about relationships and helps us realize how to be at peace with ourselves and others when things fall apart in this life. It helps us understand that life is temporary and that God is constant and that we can “call on the waves to carry” us through our difficult emotional struggles. Crossroads takes all the album cover art from the songs Maybe Not, Cry, Deja Vu and Never Loved You and combines them into one picture with a crossroads.

Evie is 16 but she has had to grow up fast with the life presented to her. She has struggled to find her way without her father who she lost to cancer when she was 13. He was a psychologist who helped guide her emotionally. Her mother was a music teacher who gave her the skills needed to improve her musical craft. She has powerful talents but also powerful emotions and struggles within herself as many of us do. Music has been her therapy since her father died and she is grateful to all of you who continue to listen to and appreciate it. Thank you for wrapping your arms around her and supporting her through this journey. She hopes her music with lift and inspire and help others through their struggles.

The Results Take Time EP is available digitally everywhere including physical CD’s through Amazon and it reveals a hidden item within the album art.

music and lyrics by evie clair

my heart is feeling something new
each beat is longing for the truth
i feel the wind beneath my feet
call on the waves to carry me

i take a step and fall right back
every time i think that i’m on track
    something keeps pulling at me
    it’s getting harder to breath

    i’m at a cross roads
    i’m crying
    i try to scream
    but i’m silent
can’t catch my tears as they’re falling
    to the ground

i know i can’t make it on my own
feels like i’m walking through the snow
please answer my prayers my lord
i know you can hear my broken soul

    i’m at a cross roads
    i’m crying
    i try to scream
    but i’m silent
please catch my tears as they’re falling
    to the ground

i was at a cross roads
    i was dying
    thought i had to scream
    now im silent
you catch my tears as they’re falling
    to the ground

  • Deja Vu

    Deja Vu

Deja Vu Music Lyrics by Evie Clair

    I’ve broken my heart a 100 times
I could say it’s your fault but that’s a lie
    Cause it was mine whoa
I seems like it’s been this way before
I walk into every closing door
    I’ve run out of lives

    Deja vu
    Keep running back to you
Have nothing left to lose (ahah)
    Deja vu
    Cause everything was you
I can’t stand this deja vu

I knew that I’d seen the signs before
But I thought that this time I was sure
That we could be more (whoa)
Know all this time was worth the pain
So id do everything the same
Now I have myself to blame (ahah)

Deja vu Keep running back to you
Have nothing left to lose (ahah)
    Deja vu
    Cause everything was you
I can’t stand this déjà vu

I thought that my tears were in the past
And somehow we could make this last (last)
That somehow I could change your mind
And the results would just take time (time)

    Deja vu
    Keep running back to you
Have nothing left to lose (ahah)
    Deja vu
    Cause everything was you
I can’t stand this deja vu

    Young Fighter

Award winning composer and singer/songwriter Nate Fenwick has scored several indie films and has had his music air across multiple cable and major networks including ABC, NBC, FOX, A&E, Discovery, E! and MTV. Nate had Evie Clair in mind for a new song called Young Fighter after being inspired by her strength through Season 12 of America’s Got Talent. Evie and Nate collaborated on the song with a message that conveys the inner power each of us has to overcome struggles and battle through the difficult challenges of life.

    Young Fighter Lyrics

    On the run
    There once was a thief
    She was one
Who stole the silence with her tongue between her teeth
    And fell asleep

    On the sea
Drifting further from her silent dream
    Awakened by the storm
She fought her way to shore
    To break the silence

    Oh – oh – oh
    Rise high young fighter
    Oh – oh – oh
    Fly high young fighter

    From the ground
She feels the fire burn within her bones
Breathing reason to a heart of stone
Awake the mighty one that shouts within her soul

    Fired up
And from the ash to rise above
To show her demons what it means to burn
And turn to ground and fade away
    Ya – a – a

    Oh – oh – oh
    Rise high young fighter
    Oh – oh – oh
    Fly high young fighter

The time has come to win
The battle that has never been won
    Without the fighter found inside
    Her silent dream above

    Oh – oh – oh
    Rise high young fighter
    Oh – oh – oh
    Fly high young fighter

    Oh – oh – oh
    Rise high young fighter
    Oh – oh – oh
    Fly high

  • Auld Lang Syne

    Auld Lang Syne

    Live in Concert

Arranged and performed by Evie Clair

Produced and mastered by Stephen Moyer

Simon Cowell describes Evie Clair’s voice as stunning and beautiful. She captured the hearts of America as a finalist on America’s Got Talent and she shares her version of the classic “Auld Lang Syne” with the world this new year to remember her father and all those we have lost.

The song Auld Lang Syne translates to mean for old time’s sake and has been adopted in English speaking countries after becoming part of the Scottish New Year’s Celebration. The words are attributed to Scottish poet Robert Burns in 1788 but may have existed in some form before that dating back to 1638. The melody is believed to be attributed to the English composer William Sheild in 1782.

Auld Lang Syne warmed our hearts in the closing scene of the classic Christmas film It’s a Wonderful Life and Guy Lombardo’s band helped make it a New Year’s Eve tradition as they played it each December 31st on the radio and later television programs for over 30 years.

Though it may have originally been a Scottish drinking song, Evie performs it not to promote alcohol consumption but to urge us all to look back and enjoy memories with those we love. She has a special gratitude for her father and the fun they had together and the memories she will always have. She believes old acquaintance’ shouldn’t be forgot’ and hopes we’ll all take time this holiday season to remember them.

Auld Lang Syne performed by Evie Clair was her first platinum single.
