Evie Clair – I Feel My Savior’s Love

Evie Clair is a follower of Jesus Christ. Being a part of this project was special to her because she was able to bask in the spirit of the Savior’s love and tenderness of these children who have such a bright faith and understanding of Him. She was able to sing a beautiful recreation of one of her favorite primary melodies by Newell Dayley arranged by her friend Shaun Barrowes – former American Idol contestant and film score composer. She also had the chance once again to work with the brilliant film director Dan LaPray. It was a thrilling experience for Evie to record at LDS Motion Picture Studios and film in Goshen at the Jerusalem replica where season 2 of her favorite TV Series – The Chosen was filmed.

Vocalist Evie Clair sings the well-known Primary song “I Feel My Savior’s Love,” while Primary-age children from around the world individually share how each feels the Savior’s love. The children share their love of the Savior and note how He sacrificed Himself, how He comforts them, how He loves everyone despite who they are. One calls Jesus Christ her friend. The music inspires introspection, prompting thoughts of how “His love is freely given.”

    Lyrics

    “The Call”

It started out as a feeling
Which then grew into a hope
Which then turned into a quiet thought
Which then turned into a quiet word
And then that word grew louder and louder
‘Til it was a battle cry
I’ll come back when you call me
    No need to say goodbye

    Just because everything’s changing
Doesn’t mean it’s never been this way before
All you can do is try to know who your friends are
As you head off to the war
Pick a star on the dark horizon and follow the light
You’ll come back when it’s over
    No need to say goodbye
You’ll come back when it’s over
    No need to say goodbye

Now we’re back to the beginning
It’s just a feeling and no one knows yet
But just because they can’t feel it too
Doesn’t mean that you have to forget
Let your memories grow stronger and stronger
    ‘Til they’re before your eyes
You’ll come back when they call you
    No need to say goodbye
You’ll come back when they call you
    No need to say goodbye
