    Chosen Son

A stunning Mother’s Day original release by Evie Clair and Christina Stutzman shares the perspective of Mary, the mother of Jesus, and her feelings in being the imperfect mother of the divine Chosen Son.

Evie and Christina were both just 13 years old finding themselves on America’s Got Talent – one of the biggest stages in the world, sharing their talents and showing strength as they experienced the loss of loved ones. Christina was with her older sister, Ali, as a singing duo and Evie was a singer/songwriter. Evie was on season 12 with Preacher Lawson and Darci Lynne while Christina was on season 5 with Prince Poppycock and Jackie Evancho.

Christina and Ali and Evie met when they performed together at a tribute concert remembering Evie Clair’s father. Christina and Ali lived close to where Evie’s dad was raised in Idaho. They all realized they had very similar life experiences. They became instant friends. Listen to Christina and Evie’s Mother’s Day radio interview with Jay Hildebrandt.

    Lonely

Evie Clair met Christina and Ali when they were all asked to perform at a concert in Evie’s dad’s hometown of Blackfoot, ID shortly after he passed away. Nearly the whole town filled the high school auditorium to hear these beautiful girls share their experiences and their hearts through music singing “Jealous of the Angels” together after all of them had experienced such tragic losses in their families.

Christina and Ali were top ten finalists on Season 5 of America’s Got Talent, with memorable acts like Jackie Evancho and Prince Poppycock while Evie Clair was a top ten finalist on season 12 with her friend Darci Lynne Farmer and the iconic Puddles Pity Party.

Evie, Christina and Ali became instant friends and have stayed close over the years. The message of this collaboration was the result of not only the loneliness they have shared as performances have taken them away from friends and family for years but also the loneliness we may have all experienced together during the isolation and missed opportunities due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. Christina and Ali both suffer from cystic fibrosis so they have been even more isolated during their lives with limited life expectancies and having already suffered the loss of a sibling to the same disease.

These friends are excited to announce an upcoming stage performance. You can catch them LIVE and all together at Ammon Days on August 7,2021 in Ammon, Idaho.

  • The Coldplay Effect

    The Coldplay Effect

Have you figured out the Coldplay Effect yet? Evie released a video on Instagram that got a lot of people buzzing about music theory. One fan (3linx) was able to explain it very well in music theory terms.

If you are a music teacher or songwriter you’ll want to take note of this simple tool for making your piano accompaniment sound more like the band Coldplay. Evie Clair began to discover this pattern when as a contestant on Season 12 of America’s Got Talent, she asked her accompanist if he could make her song sound more like Coldplay. He immediately inverted the chords to accommodate her and she realized she needed to know the secret behind that amazing trick. She joined Po-Shen Loh, a world renowned math professor, in New York City at the famous Cutting Room studio to investigate this idea more.

In their downtime a cell phone camera captures Evie and Po trying out the Coldplay effect on the popular song Shallow by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. She is impressed with Po’s beautiful singing voice since he claims to have no musical talent.

Evie documented her amazing trip to NYC in a fun video blog featuring her friend from a show she headlined in Reno and her mom’s only cousin who both live in New York City.

Pictures from Evie’s adventures in New York City with Po-Shen Loh and the Rubinstein team. Po’s team sent Evie and her mom to see the Cher Show on broadway while they were in town. Cher’s life story in the music industry was paradigm shifting for a young, rising talent like Evie Clair.
